KS2 World War 2

This day includes time at both the Grosvenor Museum and the nearby Cheshire Military Museum in Chester, exploring what life was like for people at home during World War 2.

Activities include:

Grosvenor Museum
• Evacuation: city to country, children during wartime
• Make do and mend: rag rug making
• Rationing
• Violet and Tony’s wedding: handling real artefacts from a wartime wedding

Military Museum
• Air Raids
• Gas masks
• Protecting the home
• Blackout
• ARP
• Shelters
• Fire fighting

£4.10 per child for the Grosvenor Museum session. Cheshire Military Museum is billed separately.
